Midwest Ale Works sprang from lifelong friendship of two childhood buddies who proudly call the Quad Cities home. After embarking on journeys across various states and honing their brewing skills, they made the heartfelt to return to East Moline, driven by a deep passion for brewing that had flourished over the years.

They found the perfect spot for their brewery in the vibrant "The Bend" area of East Moline, Illinois, place that is currently undergoing an exciting transformation into a bustling riverfront destination for tourists and enthusiasts alike. The brewery occupies a charming brick building that was once part of the historic Moline Auto plant, an impressive structure that has stood for over a century and now serves as The Rust Belt concert venue.

As they set up their brewing equipment the founders initially shared some of their craft beers from other breweries they had discovered during their travels. Their ultimate aspiration was to brew their own unique craft beers on a larger scale, ready to be enjoyed on tap by the community.
